Follow Up Requirements

Thank you for trusting us with your care. We hope that your experience was outstanding. If anything was out of order or to your dissatisfaction please let our office manager Nahid, know. Nahid can be reached at nahid@greenbeltsurgery.com.

Due to COVID-19, other pathogens, and for the safety of our patients, we are limiting traffic of persons in and out of our office. Therefore, follow up visits will only be necessary, if you have increasing pain, swelling, or other concerning symptoms beyond the first 2 weeks after your procedure. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please call 301-982-4555, so we can schedule an appointment to evaluate you immediately.

If you have shortness of breath, chest pain, fever, or other such severe symptoms you need to go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.


For Wisdom Teeth/ Teeth Extractions: If you have any nerve numbness, increased pain, sinus complications, bleeding, swelling, or other concerning symptoms after the first week of surgery, the surgeon may need to see you immediately.


For Bone Grafting: The surgeon needs to see you in 2 weeks and again after 3-4 months after placement of the bone to assess implant placement. If there is any increased pain, bleeding, swelling, or other concerning symptoms after the first week of surgery, the surgeon may need to see you immediately.


For Implant Placement: The surgeon needs to see you in 2 weeks and again after 2 months of the implant placement to make sure there are no signs of infection or rejection. If there is any increased pain, bleeding, swelling, or other concerning symptoms after the first week of surgery, the surgeon may need to see you immediately. After 4-6 months, the surgeon needs to see you to uncover the implant and place the healing abutment.


For Pathology and Biopsies: The surgeon needs to see you in 2-3 weeks after your surgery to check on healing and review the results with you.
